Frequently asked questions
The right safety decision depends on getting the details right. Here are answers to the questions we hear most, about compliance, installation, materials, and post-sales support.
About Troax
Troax offers a comprehensive portfolio of modular safety systems that covers every dimension of industrial safety. By combining products, deep technical expertise and services, customers get complete solutions tailored to their operations.
We have production on three continents and local teams in more than 40 countries, combining global reach with service close to your site. Wherever you operate, support and short lead times come as standard.
We have spent over 70 years setting the pace in industrial safety, and today we are the global market leader in our field.
Troax covers every zone, with the widest modular portfolio in the industry, independently certified testing, and support that continues long after installation. Our systems are designed to work together to a single standard, rather than assembled from separate suppliers.
What we make, and how it fits together
Both. Every system is fully modular. Panels, posts and fixings reconfigure as your operation changes, without replacing what is already installed, so the infrastructure adapts as layouts, machinery and requirements evolve.
While steel barriers provide robust impact protection, collisions often cause permanent deformation, and their rigid structure transfers high forces to the concrete through the anchoring system. In contrast, polymer barriers combine effective impact protection with superior concrete preservation. During an impact, the polymer undergoes controlled elastic deformation, absorbing and dissipating energy before returning to its original shape. This reduces the forces transmitted to the fixing system, minimising stress on the underlying concrete and helping to prevent damage.
Rack-end barriers guard racking uprights from forklift impact at ground level. Anti-Collapse Mesh consists of rear-mounted panels that prevent goods from falling through the back of the racking into the aisles. They solve different problems and often work together. The glossary defines both terms.
That depends on what you are protecting and the conditions it faces. The quickest route is to tell us about your site, and our experts will match the right systems to each zone. You can also browse by solution or by industry to start narrowing it down.
The questions auditors love
Yes. Our machine guarding is designed to the relevant harmonised standards, and our systems are built in accordance with Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, which replaces the Machinery Directive from January 2027.
Declarations of conformity, test reports, installation guides and product specifications for every system we deliver.
Every system is impact-tested in our own Test Centre, and we were the first mesh panel company in the world to have our test method certified by TÜV Rheinland, meaning the way we test, not just the products themselves, is independently verified and that our results are measured to a recognised, repeatable standard. You can read more on our certifications and testing page.
From order to decades later
They depend on the project, but with production across three continents and local teams in more than 40 countries, we deliver to project-driven timelines wherever you operate. For large or complex projects, we plan supply within your programme at the design stage.
Yes. We provide training for some regions, such as EMEA. We equip your teams to identify risk areas and specify, run, and maintain the systems with confidence.
We stay involved. Local teams provide service and after-sales support for the life of every system, and adapt your protection as machinery, layouts and requirements change over the years.
